SCOPE (Senior Citizens Opportunity for Personal Endeavor) operates 6 senior centers throughout Trumbull Co., Ohio. SCOPE also supports the 17% of Trumbull's population (our retired and elderly) by providing: Social work and counseling, a food bank, prescription assistance and insurance counsel, representative payee services, free dinners, an emergency assistance program and most importantly, L-O-V-E. SCOPE constantly offers a wide variety of choices for seniors ranging from nutrition, health and exercise programs, social functions and a clean, safe environment for older adults to convene and enjoy life with dignity.
SCOPE is principally funded by the "Trumbull Co. Senior Services Levy" (renewed). Taxpayers are primarily responsible for financing our critical mission(s). SCOPE contracts with Trumbull Co. government to provide essential, senior citizen/ older adult care services and care. Because of the source of funding, SCOPE has been morphed into a county-run organization despite being a private nonprofit entity.
